Surgery Support & Recovery Care in Vancouver

When surgery is on the horizon, having someone dependable to lean on can make the whole experience feel lighter and less overwhelming.

As part of the care I provide during surgical recovery, I bring formal training through Vancouver Community College as a Supportive Care Assistant (non-clinical), ensuring safe, reliable, human-centered support when you need it most.

Surgery date approaching? I’m here to make the whole experience easier.

Surgery is stressful enough - the anxiety-ridden “Who do I ask for help?” should NOT be part of the plan.

I can accompany you in a taxi or Uber, help with check-in, leave my info with the nursing staff and/or wait for you during your procedure. And when the clinic needs you to have an adult escort before they’ll discharge you? I’m right there for that part too. You're not alone - I got you! Learn more about this service here.

Also, managing the “little things” after a procedure can be challenging. Mobility is limited, energy is low, and simple tasks can feel overwhelming. I can help you with:

  • getting settled safely & comfortably at home
  • picking up prescriptions or over-the-counter supplies
  • grocery or item pickups & putting away
  • meal prep or warming meals
  • shower/bath setup & assistance
  • help getting dressed (around slings, casts, etc.)
  • grocery or item pickups
  • everyday household tasks (dishes, laundry, bathroom, bedding, tidy)
  • walking & post-op exercise support
  • day-to-day basics while you rest
  • friendly company and check-ins
