FAQ

My ideal senior client lives at home or in a retirement / assisted living community and needs non-medical home care or post-surgery assistance.

They are able to move around independently (with or without mobility devices), and would benefit from companionship and reliable help with everyday tasks, tidying, meal prep, errands, appointments & other household support.

***I do not provide lifting, transfers, medical or nursing care, or dementia/Alzheimer’s care.

Yes – it’s always me. One of the biggest benefits of Miss Happy Helper is the comfort and consistency of working with the same person every time.

Yes. If I ever notice something unusual or concerning during a visit, I’ll let you know right away. I stay mindful of any changes in mood, mobility, or general well-being, and I’ll reach out if something needs your attention.

Yes. I require a 2.5-hour minimum for senior caregiver services, surgical support, and everyday task services. This ensures the visits are genuinely helpful and it allows enough time to make a meaningful difference. Beyond that, the total hours depend on your tasks.

Business tasks have a 4-hour minimum.

I support recovery after eye surgeries, orthopedic procedures, cosmetic surgeries, dental extractions, and other outpatient procedures – helping you get home, get settled, and stay comfortable.

I’m happy to accompany clients to appointments and outings, but I don’t take clients in my personal vehicle due to insurance liability restrictions.

Transportation is arranged through a taxi or Uber at the client’s expense.

Taxi & Uber is often more convenient as it avoids the need to search for parking or pay all day at the hospital for surgical appointments.

Yes – for safety, I do require a quick photo of ID when booking in-home services. This simply confirms who I’ll be meeting and ensures all booking details are accurate.

If you’re arranging services for your parent, I will require your ID as the booking contact.

Absolutely. I maintain an up-to-date Criminal Record Check (vulnerable sector), Intermediate First Aid/CPR Certification, and FoodSafe Level One training to ensure safety and professionalism at all times.
