Caregiver Relief and Respite in Vancouver

When you’re caring for a loved one, the responsibility can feel nonstop. You manage the details, stay alert, and hold everything together – often at your own expense.

Needing time for yourself doesn’t make you selfish. It makes you human.

As part of the care I provide, I bring formal training through Vancouver Community College as a Supportive Care Assistant (non-clinical), ensuring safe, reliable, human-centered support.

Feeling stretched thin, responsible for everything, and overdue for a break?

Taking care of your aging parent or spouse can quietly become a 24/7 role (or at least feel like it). Caregiver relief gives you the time and mental space to focus on yourself — without worrying about what’s happening at home.

During a caregiver relief & respite session (4-hour minimum), you can:

  • Attend your own medical, dental, spa, or hair appointments
  • Take care of errands and personal responsibilities without rushing or constantly checking your phone
  • Work or attend meetings uninterrupted
  • Take a long walk, go to the gym, or spend time outdoors
  • Meet a friend for coffee, lunch, cocktails, or go on a date
  • Catch up on sleep
  • Step away knowing routines and safety are being maintained
  • Have a few hours where you are not “on duty”
